Description

Lustrous 1914-D Quarter Eagle, MS64

1914-D $2 1/2 MS64 NGC. CAC. Lustrous yellow-gold surfaces are splashed with mint-green and lilac, being somewhat more extensive on the obverse. Portions of the headdress feathers are weak, as typically seen. The eagle's shoulder and the leg feathers, however, display an above-average strike. Minor marks in the reverse fields deny Gem status.(Registry values: N2998)
