Well Struck 1914-D Near-Gem Quarter Eagle
1914-D $2 1/2 MS64 PCGS. A medley pf peach-gold and greenish-gray coloration resides on the lustrous surfaces of this D-mint near-Gem. An above-average strike leaves strong detail on the design features, including the eagle's shoulder and legs, areas that are often weak. A few unobtrusive ticks deny Gem status. Obtaining Gems or better becomes challenging.(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2899, PCGS# 7947, GSID# 8617)
