Tantalizing Gem 1915 Quarter Eagle

1915 $2 1/2 MS65 NGC. Though this Philadelphia issue, struck just before the denomination's decade-long hiatus, is available in grades through MS64, Gems are scarce and anything finer is a condition rarity. The present coin is vibrantly lustrous with wheat and pale yellow-gold elements mingling on each side. NGC has graded just four numerically finer pieces (4/09).(Registry values: N2998)
