Description
Original MS65 1915 Quarter Eagle
1915 $2 1/2 MS65 NGC. Ex: Seminole Collection. As indicated by Jeff Garrett and Ron Guth (2006): " ... this date is generally obtainable in all grades up to MS64. In gem MS65 grades, this date is a moderate challenge but can be found with reasonable patience." Collectors seeking a Gem need look no further. This MS65 specimen displays pleasing luster and delicate straw-gold and light green coloration. An excellent strike brings out sharp definition on all of the design elements. NGC has seen a mere three pieces finer, and PCGS only two better (10/09)!(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 289A, PCGS# 7948, GSID# 8610)
