1927 $2 1/2 MS65 NGC. A sensational example of the 1927 quarter eagle, this piece exhibits wisps of brilliant orange toning over frosty yellow-gold luster. All of the design elements are boldly defined. NGC has only graded nine finer examples of the issue, despite a mintage of 388,000 coins.(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 289D, PCGS# 7951, GSID# 8612)
