    1927 Quarter Eagle, Top-Graded MS66
One of Two Finest Endorsed by CAC

1927 $2 1/2 MS66 PCGS. CAC. Ex: Big Sky Collection. Pleasing luster emanates from both sides of this Premium Gem, displaying blushes of orange-gold, apricot, mint-green, yellow-gold, and rose. While the typical weakness is noticeable on the rims due to die buckling, the remaining design elements are sharply defined, including bold detail on the eagle's wing, breast, and leg feathers. A few grade-consistent marks are visible. A minuscule mark to the left of the Indian's chin and one left of each of the eagle's legs will serve as pedigree identifiers.

Population Data (9/15): PCGS reports 21 submissions in MS66 and none finer, while NGC shows 10 Premium Gems and none finer. This piece is among two in this top grade with the CAC green approval label.

Heritage Commentary: The 1927 quarter eagle can be located in Gem condition but Premium Gems such as the present piece are quite rare. This is a stunning example for a high-grade Indian Head quarter eagle collection.
