    Premium Gem 1927 Quarter Eagle
Splendid Type Coin, None Graded Finer

1927 $2 1/2 MS66 PCGS. Type coin collectors often flock to the 1927 Indian quarter eagle along with such issues as the 1925-D and 1926, which are among the most easily found at the Gem level. Anything in higher grade, such as this Premium Gem 1927, is nonetheless elusive, and none are graded finer at either service. Ample golden-orange luster complements surfaces that are free from mentionable distractions of any sort. Be sure to notice how well-struck even the lower headdress feathers are on the obverse, as well as the clean cheek on the Indian. The minor weakness on the lowest claw is typical, but this is a splendid type coin. Population: 19 in 66, 0 finer (2/13).(Registry values: N4719) (NGC ID# 289D, PCGS# 7951)
