Description
1928 Indian Quarter Eagle, MS66
Frosty Premium Gem
1928 $2 1/2 MS66 PCGS. Ex: Donald A. Kutz. The Indian
quarter eagle series is divided into two groups with an
intermission from 1916 through 1924. The first part of the series
was minted from 1908 through 1915, and the second part of the
series saw production from 1925 through 1929. This impressive
Premium Gem is an excellent representative of the late period and
has the second lowest high-grade population of the final five
issues. While the headdress and the eagle's leg show slight
weakness, the overall eye appeal is excellent with lustrous
lemon-yellow surfaces that show delicate mint-green overtones.Ex: Paul Taylor Collection / FUN Signature (Heritage, 1/2005), lot 30637.(Registry values: N4719)
