    Description

    Premium Gem 1929 Quarter Eagle
    Tied for Finest at NGC

1929 $2 1/2 MS66 NGC. This strongly lustrous yellow-gold example of the final quarter eagle issue offers excellent visual appeal and exquisitely preserved surfaces. The lemon-gold surfaces have a slightly frosty quality to them, and the few tiny marks present on the surfaces appear in inoffensive places. While the 1929 is readily available in circulated grades like the other 1920s issues, better Mint State pieces remain elusive, and this piece offers an uncommon opportunity for the discerning collector. Just two MS66 examples have been certified by NGC with none numerically finer (8/11).(Registry values: N4719) (NGC ID# 289F, PCGS# 7953)
