1908 $2 1/2 MS66 PCGS Secure. Few issues are as collectible in Gem condition or higher as the first-year 1908. Many of the 546,821 pieces minted were saved as souvenirs, although the new design was not exactly celebrated upon its debut. This Premium Gem is almost fully struck. Lovely yellow-gold color and frosty mint luster coalesce over well-preserved surfaces. PCGS reports two finer representatives (3/18).(Registry values: N4719)
