    Description

1925-D $2 1/2 MS65 NGC. World War I and a commercial preference for double eagles led to a nearly ten-year suspension of quarter eagle production. Finally, Denver struck the denomination in 1925, and the issue is plentiful in typical Mint State. But Gems are scarce, and examples are rarely encountered any finer. This lemon-gold representative exhibits vibrant luster and a bold mintmark. Contact is minimal, and the headdress displays only minor incompleteness of impression. Housed in a prior generation holder.(Registry values: N2998) (NGC ID# 7KRD, PCGS# 7949)

    Weight: 4.18 grams
