Reza Shah Proof 5000 Dinars (5 Kran) SH 1306 (1927/1928)-H PR65 PCGS, Heaton mint, KM1106, Dav-294, Sweeny-IR8, Kian-Unl. An incredibly striking Proof minting of this usually unremarkable and prolific type, boasting clean, luminous white fields virtually free of tone. Produced on one of only two occasions that the Tehran mint placed an outside contract with foreign mints to strike its silver coins, this offering from the Heaton Mint Archives presently ranks as one of a mere 7 Proof-certified specimens at PCGS, with the highest graded yet awarded by that service being a PR67.Ex.
