Piedmont Republic. Subalpine Republic gold 20 Francs L'An 10 (1801) AU Details (Cleaned) NGC, Turin mint, KM-C5, Fr-1172. Mintage: 1,492. Short-lived issue following Napoleon's victory in the Battle of Marengo, and prior to the being overthrown by Austro-Russian forces. Two-year type, lightly circulated yet still endowed with plenty of flash and eye-appeal.
