Meiji gold 5 Yen Year 8 (1875) MS65 Deep Prooflike NGC, Osaka mint, KM-Y11a, JNDA 01-3A. For an issue already noted for it's beauty and precision, this specimen still manages to stand out from the crowd. One of only two NGC certified examples of the date to receive a DPL (Deep Prooflike) designation. A powerfully attractive coin that would rank among the most eye-catching pieces in any collection.
