Description

Meiji Yen Year 3 (1870) MS65 NGC, Osaka mint, KM-Y5.1, JNDA 01-9. Type 1, with border variety. Boasting an argent Gem brilliance, there is an underlying rosy tint to the patina that prevents the piece from appearing as monotone blast white. This is no secret, but this popular type really stands out in high-Choice and Gem designations, as is the case here.
