1939 5C Doubled Monticello, FS-801, MS66 PCGS. A vastly popular variety with particularly wide die doubling seen on much of the reverse lettering. The strike is bold, and the satiny surfaces display a hint of light champagne toning. The steps are nearly full. Elusive this well-preserved. Population: 38 in 66 (1 in 66+), 7 finer (4/16).From The Eagle One Collection.
