Description
1939 Nickel, MS67 Full Steps
FS-802, Quadrupled Die Reverse
The Single Finest Certified
1939 5C Quadrupled Die Reverse, FS-802, MS67 Full Steps
PCGS. FS-802 is quadrupled on the reverse legends, perhaps most
prominently on STATES and CENTS. The 1940 reverse shows the steps
of Monticello sharply delineated. This Superb Gem Full Steps
example is the sole finest certified by either service (11/15), a
must-have item for the competitive Complete Varieties Registry Set.
Lustrous and nearly brilliant surfaces show pristine fields and a
faint, solitary mark on Jefferson's cheekbone. The reverse
quadrupling is clear, despite minor metal flow lines in the fields
that indicate a late die state. From The Steve Strom Collection.
