Reverse of 1938
1939-S 5C Reverse of 1938 MS66+ Full Steps PCGS. The wavy
steps on Monticello are distinctive of the earlier Reverse of 1938
hub. This well-struck, high-end Premium Gem displays satiny gray
luster with few noticeable contact marks. The rarity of this issue
in MS66 and the fact that it is unknown in MS67 make the present
Plus-graded coin immensely appealing from a Registry collecting
standpoint. Population: 23 in 66 (4 in 66+) Full Steps, 0 finer
