Description

1941-S/S 5C FS-502 MS66 PCGS. Ex: Steve Strom Collection. The elusive Large S mintmark is repunched on this scarce variety, the secondary numeral evident south of the primary. This variety is yet unattributed by either service in Full Steps, and the only PCGS coins listed in Mint State are a pair of MS66 pieces, one of which is the present example (11/15). This representative showcases smooth, satiny surfaces with a tinge of iridescent champagne toning. The strike is bold, including above-average delineation of the steps.
From The Steve Strom Collection.
