1942-D 5C D Over Horizontal D MS62 NGC. FS-501. Cherrypickers' states the D over Horizontal D "is the rarest of the major Jefferson nickel varieties in Mint State." Mint blunders of this severity seemed to occur more often during wartime. Dusky peach-gold and lilac shades visit coruscating surfaces.
