1942-D 5C D Over Horizontal D MS64 PCGS. FS-501, previously FS-027. Well defined overall with delicate golden accents. The overmintmark feature is bold with clear evidence of the horizontal D visible without the aid of magnification. According to the Cherrypickers' Guide, "this is the rarest of the original 10 major Jefferson varieties in mint state." Population: 4 in 64, 5 finer (5/08).
