Description

1943/2-P Nickel, MS67
Scarce World War II Overdate

1943/2-P 5C Doubled Die Obverse, FS-101 MS67 PCGS. As with other World War II overdate issues, the 1943/2-P was created when working hubs of different dates were used to make a working die. A thoroughly lustrous Superb Gem that has mark-free surfaces and a hint of gold toning. The high points of Jefferson's portrait show minor flan chatter, as struck.
Ex: Long Beach Signature (Heritage, 2/2013), lot 4152, which realized $4,112.50.
