Description

1943/2-P 5C MS66 Full Steps PCGS. FS-101. A 1942-P working die was repunched with a 1943-P master die. As a result, the diagonal of a 2 is clearly visible beneath the 3. Other evidence of the doubling is visible on LIBERTY and IN GOD WE TRUST, and in other areas on the coin. This is a fully struck example, brightly lustrous with a hint of lemon-gold tone over the wartime silver surfaces. Close to six full steps are visible on this coin. Population: 23 in 66 Full Steps, 3 finer (7/14).(Registry values: N991)
