1945-S Nickel, MS67 Full Steps
Tied for Finest Certified

1945-S 5C MS67 Full Steps PCGS. The San Francisco Mint struck nearly 59 million Jefferson nickels in 1945, and survivors are among the most elusive of the wartime issues with Full Steps. That said, examples can be located in MS65 and MS66 without much difficulty. Superb Gems, however, are very rare and highly sought after by Registry Set builders. This top-graded nickel features glimpses of violet, blue, green, and gold over frosty, largely brilliant surfaces. A few minute ticks are unimportant. Population: 14 in 67 (2 in 67+) Full Steps, 0 finer (3/16).(Registry values: N991)
