Description
Popular MS67 Full Steps 1950-D Nickel
1950-D 5C MS67 Full Steps PCGS. Ex: Compradore Collection. This issue's low mintage of slightly over 2.6 million pieces spurred mass saving among speculators, and while the 1950-D is desirable, across most grades, it is not a rarity. Full Steps coins are elusive, however, and at the MS67 level, the 1950-D is just as much a condition rarity as its peers. The present Superb Gem example is a remarkable piece with frosty luster and sharp design details. The obverse has vivid gold and iridescent toning, and the reverse is essentially brilliant nickel-white with just a touch of champagne. Population: 6 in 67 Full Steps, 0 finer (2/09).(Registry values: N491)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 22UF, PCGS# 84042, Greysheet# 3287)
