Description

1964-D/D 5C Repunched Mintmark, FS-501, MS65 PCGS. The mintmark is recut at its base. This Cherrypickers' variety is extremely rare. PCGS lists five examples, none of which are Full Steps; NGC has not attributed any. This Gem representative is tied with two others as the finest (11/15). There is slight softness on the steps of Monticello and Jefferson's hair, but the preservation is pleasing. Each side displays satiny luster with a light champagne hue.
