Description
Victoria 'Pattern' 1/24 Shilling 1877, KM-7, PF65 BN NGC, ex Remick Collection. This is listed in catalogues as a Proof, but technically it is a PATTERN. It is believed that these were struck at the Royal Mint without the H mm before the dies were shipped off to Birmingham. The surfaces are distinctly different from the Heaton Mint issue and are more than twice as rare.Auction Info
