Description

1970-D Half Dollar, MS67
Brilliant Key Date

1970-D 50C MS67 PCGS. The 1970-D is the key date in the Kennedy half dollar series. Many collectors tend to seek out the 1964 coin, being the first issue with 90% silver alloy, but it is common with over 273 million pieces struck. The 1970-D is elusive by comparison, with just 2.15 million coins minted. Furthermore, this issue was only distributed through Mint Sets. This Superb Gem is fully brilliant, sharply struck and among the finest certified, as PCGS shows no numerically finer pieces and just three in MS67+ (10/25).(Registry values: N491)
