Description
1793 Chain AMERI. Fine 12 PCGS. S-1, R.4. Lightly granular surfaces, with some areas of pitting on both sides. Uniform, chocolate-brown color with the date, legends, and devices all clearly visible. The overall appearance is pleasing and perhaps superior for the grade. This issue is probably one of the most famous of all U.S. coins, and represents one of the very first coins struck by the United States mint at Philadelphia.
