Low Grade Chain Cent With a Well Defined Reverse
1793 Chain AMERICA VG 8. S-3, Low R.3. Glossy, light to medium brown color overall with a slightly mottled effect on the obverse. Most of the rims are worn away on the obverse, but more than than half of the reverse rim is still in evidence. A fairly nice, low grade Chain cent except for a shallow, curved scratch on the head of Liberty and a triangular planchet defect in the field in front of the eye of Liberty.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 223F, PCGS# 1341, GSID# 1213)
