Description

1794 1C VF 35 Porous. S-55, R.2. This example displays glossy-brown patination that deepens to charcoal hues over isolated recessed areas. Despite this porosity and a noticeable abrasion on Liberty's jaw, the surfaces are quite attractive and exhibit few detractions. Well centered, the overall delineation is adequate for the median circulated grade, although we note that the top of the wreath is conspicuous by its absence. A conditionally challenging die variety, this specimen should be of considerable interest to early copper enthusiasts.
