1794 S-21, B-5 Cent, AU55
Flat Pole Obverse
1794 1C Head of 1794, S-21, B-5, R.3, AU55 PCGS. Ex: Husak
Collection. Breen Die State II. A single obverse die crack begins
over the B in LIBERTY and extends between IB to the cap. This
example is tied for the 10th finest S-21 cent per Al Boka's census
at 1794largecents.com. Both sides combine smooth and pleasing
olive-brown with deep maroon patina. The obverse exhibits myriad
line-like planchet striations and microscopic porosity. A pleasing
example of the Flat Pole variety.Ex: Central States Signature (Heritage, 4-5/2009), lot 1015; Adam Mervis Collection / FUN Signature (Heritage, 1/2014), lot 2439.
