1794 S-44 Cent, Choice VF
Pleasing Brown Color
1794 1C Head of 1794, S-44, B-33, R.1, VF35 NGC. Breen Die
State III, both dies cracked. Detail on this piece is in keeping
with the grade, sharp for the VF level but not quite strong enough
to warrant an XF designation. Both sides show complete border
dentils and clear legends, save for the fraction which is weak at
the denominator. A depressed surface mark appears on the reverse at
the bottom of the E in CENT, but the surfaces are otherwise fairly
smooth with medium chocolate-brown color. Our EAC grade Fine 12.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 223P, Variety PCGS# 35597, Base PCGS# 901374, Greysheet# 76768)
