1794 Head of 1794 Cent, XF40
S-65, Terminal Die State
1794 1C Head of 1794, S-65, B-51, R.1, XF40 PCGS. CAC. Breen
Die State IX, the terminal state for the Shielded Hair variety with
broad radial cracks on the reverse at 12 and 5 o'clock. The second
A in AMERICA is faint due to the failing reverse die, and the date
exhibits two bold cracks. A pleasing tan-brown cent with hints of
olive-green toning near the rims. The surfaces are minimally marked
and void of verdigris. Our EAC grade VF25.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 223P, Variety PCGS# 35654, Base PCGS# 901374, Greysheet# 76789)
