1795 1C Plain Edge AU53 PCGS. S-76b, B-4b, R.1. Our EAC Grade
XF40. Breen Die State III, the earliest die state for the Plain
Edge subvariety, with light clash marks but no evidence of the
obverse bulge appearing in Die State IV. This is the most plentiful
Liberty Cap variety of any date, and an outstanding choice for the
type collector. This pleasing piece has smooth olive and
steel-brown surfaces with excellent design definition. Housed in a
green-label holder.Ex: The Chandler Collection (Heritage, 1/2010), lot 72.
