Description
Aesthetically Pleasing 1795 Cent, S-76b
1795 1C Plain Edge MS62 Brown PCGS. S-76b, R.1. Both sides are smooth with orange-brown color and eye appeal that would do justice to a higher grade. There are a few flickers of carbon on the reverse, the strike is expertly centered and bold in all areas. A strong candidate for inclusion in an advanced collection of early copper. This coin's ranking relative to Noyes's Condition Census listing for S-76b has to be determined based upon its EAC grade, and not its PCGS grade. However, we feel that PCGS's grade on this particular coin is very conservative indeed.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 223T, PCGS# 1380, GSID# 732)
