Undisturbed Near Gem 1795 Cent

1795 1C Plain Edge MS64 Brown PCGS. S-78, R.1. Die State IV, faint clash marks present on upper reverse field. This evenly struck and unmarked near-Gem has dusky olive-brown color, which is very consistent save for a hint of steel-gray toning on the central base of Liberty's cap. A faint and small spot in front of the chin, and another near a leaf beneath the upright of the E in AMERICA, are noted only to aid identification the present high grade example in any future auction appearances. A good candidate for an exemplary Large Cent type set.
