Later Die State of S-128 1797 Cent
1797 Reverse of '97, No Stems XF 40 Burnished. S-128, Low R.3. An interesting and easily identified variety as the second 7 in the date has both points touching the bottom of the bust, and on the reverse the M in AMERICA is punched over an E. Well centered, the dies appear to have been misaligned slightly with a resultant loss of detail on the left rim of each side. Deep, even brown color.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2242, PCGS# 1422, GSID# 765)
