    1797 1C Reverse of 1797, No Stems -- Environmental Damage -- NGC Details. AU. S-133, B-29, R.5. This late state piece has all the cracks and clash marks described by Breen, with the crack left of the 1 in the date faintly visible. A sharply detailed cent with pleasing olive surfaces that show splashes of maroon, including minor obverse pitting and an area of corrosion inside the left branch of the wreath. Del Bland grades this cent Fine 12 and tied for seventh finest in his census. Bill Noyes also grades this piece Fine 12, and places it eighth in his roster. Our EAC grade Fine 12.
