Description

1798 S-163, R.4. Sharpness of VF 30 Burnished and Cleaned, net VG 10. The surfaces have porosity which has been reduced by burnishing, then the coin was retoned an olive-steel color. On the reverse some raised corrosion has been chipped away with a pin, leaving several pinscratches on the upper right. Identifiable by a rim dent below the lowest curl of Liberty. Still a rare coin, and not too far from the Condition Census in spite of the problems.
