Scarce 1798 S-172
1798 S-172, R.2. Sharpness of XF 45 Corrosion, net VF 25. The obverse has some light corrosion, while the reverse has several patches of light red corrosion in the fields, accounting for the net grade. Well struck and still a pleasing coin even with these surface problems, which are seen on so many early coppers.Ex: Jonathan K. Kern.
