Description
1798/7 1C --Damaged, Burnished--NCS. VF Details. S-152, B-13, R.2. The left top of the underdigit 7 is distinct, and the crossbar of the E in AMERICA is connected with the upper pendant, which ends in a sharp point. A few small, shallow punch marks are noted on each side, and the medium to dark brown surfaces have a glossy appearance. Sharp definition is visible on the design elements, which are well centered on the planchet. The dentils are complete, and for the most part quite strong.
