Description
Choice 1799 S-189 VG 8
1799 S-189, R.2. Sharpness of VG 8, net VG 8. A choice and lovely specimen of this sought-after date. The color is medium-brown, with one minor lighter area near OF on the reverse. Identifiable by a nick on Liberty's nose, a diagonal mark on the N of CENT, a tiny rim pit at the point of the first A of AMERICA, another at the right ribbon end on the rim. One of the more expensive varieties to find because of the demand for the date, and rarely available in an acceptable grade, be sure to bid liberally if you want to capture this prize.Ex: Dr. Robert J. Shalowitz.
