Description

Alluring 1800/79 Cent, S-194, VF30

1800/79 1C VF30 PCGS. S-194, B-8, Low R.3. An overdate helps distinguish the obverse, while the reverse features a high fraction bar that is closer to the numerator than to the denominator. This piece is Breen Die State V, as evidenced by the rim break between the IC in AMERICA. Pleasing medium brown patination in the fields contrasts nicely against the chestnut patina that drapes the devices. A shallow mark on Liberty's neck is mentioned for future identification purposes. An appealing, semi-glossy, and crisply defined representative. EAC 12.
