1801 1C 3 Errors--Corroded--ANACS. VF Details, Net Fine 12. S-219, R.2. Although not a rare variety in an absolute sense, S-219 is always in demand as the more readily obtainable die marriage of the Three Errors Cent. The present example exhibits a pair of heavy die breaks (as struck) over the lower left reverse. There are no mentionable abrasions, but the surfaces are dark and rough from corrosion with scattered spots of verdigris on both sides. Suitably well defined over all major features.From the Ohio Collection.
