Terminal Die State 1802 S-232 Cent
1802 1C AU53 NGC. VF30 EAC. S-232, Die State VII, R.1. The obverse, which is shared with S-233, is immediately identified by the blundered T in LIBERTY, cut over a mistaken Y in this position. This is the terminal die state for the variety with a reverse rim break over ATE, and with additional die cracks through ST and ES OF. The surfaces have a combination of dark steel, olive, and reddish-brown patina.
