Borderline Uncirculated S-232 1802 Cent
1802 1C AU58 NGC. CAC. S-232, B-12, R.1. The popular variety with a T punched over a Y in LIBERTY. Another noteworthy feature is the prominent cud over the AT in STATES. This partly lustrous cent is mostly medium brown on the obverse, while the reverse has light sea-green toning aside from a blush of golden-brown near 5 o'clock. Crisply struck and attractive with the usual mint-made clashmarks for the variety, including dentils incused near AMERICA.
