Description
Highly Collectible Late Die State S-236 1802 Cent
1802 VF 35. S-236, R.1. This is the very late die state with die sinkage left of the date causing the disappearance of the word STATES. Five pronounced die cracks crisscross the nine-berry reverse. Well defined other than the rim break on the reverse, the glossy surfaces show a medium brown and olive patina with virtually no post-striking impairments.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 224F, PCGS# 1470, GSID# 798)
