Ex McLaughlin & Robinson Auctions 6/1986:414-COL Steven K. Ellsworth.

The McLean, Virginia partnership of Richard E. McLaughlin and Jack H. Robinson conducted a series of auctions under the name McLaughlin & Robinson. The firm handled a wide range of numismatic items on a wholesale and retail basis and is remembered in the copper community for several specialty copper auctions, most conducted in the 1980s and 1990s. Martin Gengerke published data on 73 events held from 1983 to 1989, offering more than 82,000 lots over that period. Douglas Bird and Gary Ruttenberg operated a west coast branch of the firm that was incorporated in March 1986 and dissolved in January 1988.
Steve writes: "For several years Jack Robinson sold many of his duplicates from his collection at a small auction in Fairfax. We later became good friends as I helped him price and write his Copper Quotes by Robinson price guide."
