1803 S-243, B-1 Cent, AU58
No Stems

1803 1C No Stems AU58 PCGS. S-243, B-1, R.2. Our EAC Grade XF45. Breen Die State IV, with two obverse rim breaks over TY and to the right. The border is narrow at the upper right, and the rim breaks are difficult to see beneath the lip of the PCGS holder, but both are present. Both sides show blended olive and steel-brown with traces of luster, including a whisper of mint red. The No Stems reverse is the same die that also appeared on 1802 S-241, but here in an earlier die state, meaning that the 1802 No Stems cents were struck in 1803. Population: 3 in 58, 3 finer (12/13).
